Backlit Stone Projects: Jade and Pandora Stone Islands and Walls

These are real projects in China lit with JJS LED light sheets: backlit kitchen islands and feature walls in translucent jade and Pandora luxury stone. Each one uses our 490 × 245 mm sheets, in single color or dual-color (tunable white), laid edge to edge behind the stone.

Backlit stone kitchen islands

A backlit island turns the kitchen into the centre of the room. The light sheets are fixed to the inside of the island carcass, cut to fit around the cabinet structure, and the stone panels are mounted in front with an air gap so the light can spread before it reaches the stone.

Dual-color sheets let the owner switch between warm and neutral white, or dim the island at night. Single-color warm white suits stones with strong amber and gold tones.

Light test before delivery

Before the island leaves the workshop, it is assembled and switched on. This shows any dark corners, seams or hot spots while they are still easy to fix, and lets the client approve the look of the actual slabs.

Curved backlit stone

Flexible light sheets follow gentle curves, so curved stone fronts can be lit evenly without strips of LED tape.

Feature wall installation

For walls, the sheets are laid edge to edge on the back panel of the recess, connected in zones and tested before the stone goes on. The first photo shows the sheets and wiring during installation; the second shows the same wall switched on before the stone face is fitted.
