LED Backlighting Panels for Stone, Signs and Displays
LED backlighting panels use thin, modular LED light sheets to create even illumination behind translucent stone, acrylic, signage faces, retail shelves and architectural display panels.
Where LED backlighting panels are used
LED panel options to compare
| Project need | Recommended direction | Internal resource |
|---|---|---|
| Single color white backlighting | Flexible PCB LED light sheet with correct CCT and density | Flexible LED light sheets |
| Tunable white or RGB effects | CCT, RGB or RGBW sheet plus matched controller channels | LED controllers |
| Long wiring runs | Check wattage, voltage drop and driver location before production | Voltage drop calculator |
| Quote preparation | Send size, quantity, voltage, color temperature and installation depth | Quote request |
How to specify a backlighting panel
- Confirm the visible panel size, material type and installation depth.
- Choose single color, CCT, RGB or RGBW according to the required lighting effect.
- Estimate sheet quantity and wattage with the LED light sheet calculator.
- Match power supplies with the power supply and controller guide.
- Request a sample before finalizing color temperature and diffusion quality.
Key specifications for backlit stone, onyx and resin panels
| Specification | JJS LED light sheets |
|---|---|
| Distance between LED sheet and stone | 30–80 mm (3–8 cm). About 50 mm is a good starting point for most translucent stone; final spacing depends on stone thickness, translucency and sheet density, so confirm it with a sample test. |
| Color rendering | CRI > 95 on our LED light sheets, so onyx, marble and resin colors look natural. |
| Power per m² | Depends on the model. Each product datasheet lists its rated power; send the model or your lit area and we calculate total load, power zones and drivers. |
| Samples | Available. Please tell us which model you want to test (see the LED light sheet range or the sample page). |
| Shipping to Europe and worldwide | Quoted per delivery address. Send the destination city and postcode with your sample or project request. |
Why use LED light sheets instead of ordinary LED strips?
LED strips can work in deep cabinets, but shallow stone, acrylic and signage projects often need a flatter and more even source. A cuttable LED light sheet spreads points across the surface, making it easier to design compact backlighting panels with fewer visible lines.
For a deeper comparison, review LED light sheet vs LED strip for backlighting.
FAQ
Can LED backlighting panels be custom cut?
Yes. Flexible PCB LED light sheets can be planned around size, cut lines, wire exits and installation constraints. Always confirm the layout before cutting or ordering a production batch.
Do I need a sample before a stone project?
Yes, sample testing is strongly recommended because stone thickness, color and translucency change the final brightness and color appearance.
What details are needed for a quote?
Send panel size, quantity, material, installation depth, voltage, color temperature, control requirement and destination country. Photos or drawings can be added later for engineering review.
How far should the LED light sheet be from the stone?
Keep 30–80 mm (3–8 cm) between the LED light sheet and the back of the stone or resin panel. Around 50 mm is a good starting point; test with your actual material before production.
What is the CRI of your LED light sheets?
Our LED light sheets have a CRI above 95.
How much power do LED light sheets use per square metre?
It depends on the model. Check the rated power on the product datasheet, or send us the model and lit area and we will calculate the total load and driver plan.
Can you ship samples to Europe?
Yes. Tell us which model you want to test and your delivery address; shipping cost is quoted per location.
